Great Dishes at Fisher’s Tudor House
Hosting a memorable wedding reception requires an exceptional level of service and meticulous attention to detail. Only the most organized and efficient restaurants can successfully cater a party of several hundred guests, and Fisher’s Tudor House in Bensalem, Philadelphia, has decades of experience in handling private functions of any size. With a number of spaces to choose from including the opulent Versailles ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 guests, Fisher’s Tudor House has become the number one venue in Bucks County for outstanding service and mouth-watering food served in luxurious surroundings.
Fisher’s Tudor House began life in 1961 as a quaint seafood restaurant located in Northeast Philadelphia. Today, the popular venue has relocated to Bensalem and grown to an impressive 81,000 square feet and hosts weddings, corporate functions, birthday parties and even murder mystery dinners. Owners George and Pete Pavlis opened the current venue in 1975 and continue their family’s proud tradition of offering outstanding seafood served alongside classic American dishes. The venue is comprised of ten private function rooms including the intimate vineyard, the cozy garden room and the recently refurbished seasons venue that boasts a 30,000 watt sound system and indoor water fountain.
Parties of more than 100 guests can select the Fisher’s Tudor House buffet menu that offers incredible selections that are guaranteed to please even the fussiest eaters. The carving station offers guests a choice of prime roast beef served with horseradish sauce, hickory smoked Virginia baked ham with a tangy pineapple chutney and oven roasted turkey with a traditional cranberry sauce. Hot buffet dishes include lobster Devine, baked Italian meatballs with Italian sausage and red pepper and sautéed green beans amandine.
The dessert table is prepared by the in-house bakery and offers homemade cheesecakes, chocolate layer cakes and custom-made wedding cakes. Parties of less than 100 guests can opt for the banquet menu that includes well-known classics such as Chicken Marsala, filet mignon and jumbo lump crab cakes. The murder mystery dinner includes a selection of entrees served alongside a fresh garden salad, homemade bread, rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables. Dessert and coffee is also included in the ticket price.
Fisher’s Tudor House also has an intimate seafood restaurant and lounge bar that can seat solo diners or small groups. The lounge bar offers a pub menu featuring fresh handmade sandwiches, pizzas, quesadillas and a hearty blackened chicken salad. Restaurant diners can choose from delicious seafood starters such as top neck clams, oysters, mussels and calamari fritters. The restaurant menu offers a wide selection of fish entrees including the blackened red snapper with Cajun seasoning and flounder Florentine served over pasta and topped with a creamy spinach sauce. One of the things that sets Fisher’s Tudor House apart from other venues is their dedication to providing exceptional service to all their customers. The chefs are willing to accommodate all dietary requirements including gluten and lactose-free cakes, and all menus include vegan and vegetarian options. Premium wines are offered by the glass alongside craft beers as well as an extensive collection of spirits and aperitifs.
