The Incredible Talent of Jazz man Vic Rubino
Vic Rubino is a silky smooth jazz singer who brings the standards of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett to audiences everywhere. He puts a “Rubino spin” on the classic standards, which gives his performances a unique east coast flavor. Vic’s sound comes from a generation when men were unapologetically romantic, which provides the perfect soundtrack for slow dances in the ambient light of flickering candles and clinking champagne glasses. Vic Rubino has always been passionate about jazz music, but his road to the stage including building a successful jewelry business and raising his children – two daughters and a son.
In his 20s, Vic Rubino sang backup vocals for a local band. When he and the band’s leader parted ways, Vic stopped singing for 20 years in order to build his career and raise his family. Vic credits Richie Somers of the Riverboat Inn in Croyden, PA for resurrecting his singing career right around the time when soundtracks were becoming popular. Since reestablishing his career, Vic has come back with a busy calendar of performances throughout the tri-state area.
Audience members can expect to be transported back to the hey day of the Rat Pack, while also enjoying early rock and roll classics that were made famous by idols such as Elvis and Bobby Darrin. “You and Me,” “Venus,” “Let Me Try Again,” “For Once in my Life” and “I Get a Kick Out of You.” Vic Rubino collaborates with dozens of local artists on feature engagements, tribute shows, community celebrations and events, and more.
Vic also hosts Karaoke night each Thursday night from 7:30-11:30 at Filomena Cucina Rustica in West Berlin, New Jersey. He has performed with Frankie “Diamond” DeRosa, Patti Lattanzi & the Billy Carlucci & the Gang Show, and numerous others. Vic also entertains almost nightly at fantastic restaurant/lounge venues throughout South Jersey including Casa di Roma, Seven Star Diner, The Riverwinds Restaurant, Viana’s V3 Bistro, and Trattoria Figaro.
Vic is also available for engagements, and regularly does charity performances. If you are visiting New Jersey, be sure to catch a great dinner and one of Vic’s shows. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a night with an amazing performance of the classic standards that we all know and love.
December 20, 2015 Vic Rubino performed at Mount Laurel’s Trattoria Figaro where diners enjoyed contemporary, farm-to-table-fresh Italian cuisine while listening to the standards and jazz sounds of the 60s. Stay tuned for more of Vic’s events and appearances, as 2016 gets off to a silky smooth and jazzy start!

Thanks so much for posting this comment. You are right! Vic is an excellent performer and we try to see him, often. Just last week, he was at the Trattoria Figaro and we all had a great time. We also got to hear Sonny Barry sing one of his Elvis Presley numbers.
