DJ Pepper Paul – ­Entertaining People and Making Friends

DJ Pepper Paul can be heard every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on South Jersey’s radio institution, Cruisin’ 92.1 WVLT.  If you have ever heard his show, you already know that Pepper Paul brings his eclectic musical tastes, wide range of interests, and fascinating guest stars to the airwaves.  If you’ve not had a chance to hear his show, tune in on Tuesday nights at 10pm and listen to “The Pepper Paul Show”.

Pepper Paul WVLTWhile “The Pepper Paul Show” on WVLT is an area institution, there is more to the radio host than just his show.  In fact, Paul has been working as a mobile DJ for more than 30 years.  Throughout the years, Paul has collected legions of fans and friends in the South Jersey area, bringing the same enthusiasm and talent to his live performances as he does to his weekly radio show.

Pepper Paul Kenny JeremiahPaul’s career at Cruisin’ 92.1 WVLT has been of a much shorter duration, starting approximately nine years ago; the radio sensation has been one of the most popular radio personalities in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area, entertaining residents and making new fans week after week.  For years now, The “Pepper Paul Show has dominated the Tuesday night ratings with a series of three unique shows.  The Tuesday night entertainment starts out with “The Good Time Old Time Rock ­n ­Soul Show”, a radio show Pepper Paul co­-hosts at 10:00 p.m. with rock and roll legend Kenny Jeremiah at his side.

Pepper Paul and Elvis“The Good Time Old Time Rock ­n ­Soul Show” is followed at 11:00 p.m. by the “Cruisin’ to Jailhouse Rock Show”, an hour ­long tribute to the music and career of Elvis Presley.  This may be the only Elvis Presley request show in the area, and it is certainly one of the most popular in the country.  If you are an Elvis fan, this is the show for you.  The tribute to Elvis may be over at midnight, but “The Pepper Paul Show” is just hitting its stride.  The actual “Pepper Paul Show” starts at midnight and runs until 2:00 a.m.  On “The Pepper Paul Show”, you never know what will happen next, and that’s what brings listeners and fans coming back for more.

DJ Pepper PaulThe celebrated DJ plays the greatest hits of all time, displaying his extensive knowledge of music and using his eclectic taste to design a playlist you won’t hear anywhere else.  But while the music is the star of the show, it is not the only one.  “The Pepper Paul Show” has long been known for its special guests.  Fans tune in week after week to see who will show up next.  Over the years, Paul has welcomed everyone from late Hollywood legend Tony Curtis to musical comedian Weird Al Yankovic to his show.
