Jimmy Fallon is America’s beloved funny man. The popular TV host has gained the adoration and praise of audiences around the world with his boyish charm, silly comedy and commitment to entertainment. The megastar is living his dreams and allowing legions of fans along for the ride.
A New York native, Fallon was born in Brooklyn and raised in Saugerties, New York. The young Fallon aspired to be a comedian early on enamored with the show Saturday Night Live (SNL) and possessing an innate ability to impersonate some of his favorite stars including Dana Carvey and Robert De Niro. Fallon sought out avenues to perform in high school and ultimately dropped out of Albany School, College of Saint Rose, to move to Los Angeles in pursuit of an acting career.
Fallon’s time in L.A. paved the way for several opportunities that would ultimately jump start his career. A stint in stand-up comedy and acting allowed the star to earn an audition for his favorite program, SNL. Fallon fulfilled a lifelong dream in 1998 joining the all-star cast, which included Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon, and winning over audiences with his impersonations of famous actors and singers. Fallon’s six year stint on SNL paved the way for a more in depth acting career starring in films Taxi, Fever Pitch and Factory Girl.
In 2008 Fallon was presented with an opportunity to take over Conan O’Brien’s time slot headlining his own late night show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Fallon rose to the occasion slowly gaining ratings with his unique brand of comedy which often implemented the use of spoofs, dance sequences, quirky games with famous guests and entertaining stand-up. The show, which was initially met with mixed reviews, eventually skyrocketed in ratings and proved the host’s immense talent.
Fallon ultimately usurped Jay Leno’s position as the host of the iconic late night program, The Tonight Show. Leno hosted the show for a historic 21 years filming in Los Angeles. Fallon took over in 2008 and the show was renamed The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and was famously relocated to Fallon’s home city of New York. Fallon received the honor to take over the program humbly and is stated as saying, “I just want to do the best I can and take care of the show for a while.”
Fallon has impressed audiences and critics with his high energy presence on the late night show. Among the host’s beloved opening skits some of the fan favorites include: “Thank You Notes,” a skit where the actor pens ‘thank you notes’ often referencing pop culture or political satire in the form of a thank you note; “Tonight Show Superlatives,” a skit in which Fallon dubs various NFL players high school yearbook prophecies such as ‘most likely to get a penalty for frosted tips,’ and perhaps the show’s most famous skit “Lip Sync Battles,” in which Fallon goes up against famous celebrities taking turns lip syncing and dancing to various hit songs. Lip sync battles have proved to be a huge source of success for the program with clips of various gaining virality on YouTube and social media sites.
The popular comedian often lends his famous personality to gain attention for various causes and charities, including raising money and awareness for Make-A-Wish Foundation by participating in a prank with the NFL.

Jimmy Fallon is by far one of my favorites, along with Conan O`Brian. These guys are just so funny and talented. They deserve all the success that the have, for sure.
