A Celebration of Moroccan Cuisine
Like many countries bordering the Mediterranean, Morocco has been influence by many people and cultures over the centuries. These influences have combined and resulted in culinary heritage that is rich with local flavors as well as more far-flung Mediterranean influences. Many people love Moroccan food because it’s more heavily spiced than other Middle Eastern cuisines and, yet, it also features herbs and fruits that brighten up its flavors. Marrakesh has more than three decades of experience perfecting their Moroccan specialties. Using fresh ingredients prepared with authentic techniques, the restaurant has won its place as a top Philadelphia establishment for Mediterranean fare.

A Marrakesh Banquet
A dinner at Marrakesh is unlike any other restaurant experience in Philadelphia. For instance, you can enjoy a rug banquet outfitted with richly colored pillows and Moroccan tapestries and textiles. Rooms brim with the enchanting fragrances of incense and are dimly lit with Moroccan lanterns for a more ambient experience. Authentic dishes are served on ceramics you might find at a Fez bazaar. All these design features help create a cultural experience that could only be improved if you actually hopped a plane to Marrakesh or Casablanca.

  • Al Dar is excellent — I go there occasionally and love it — we will have an article written shortly about them. Thanks for the suggestion. Keep them coming.

  • Most people think that it is exotic dining, but from NY to Boston, Middle Eastern Food is the new yuppy (Young Urban Preppies) food where the (DINKs) “Double Income No Kids” eat. You don`t really know what you are missing out on until you try it. This is the thing right here and if you want to reward yourself with something you have never tasted before, definitely go for it!
